DESCRIPTION

As part of EXPO 2015, the futuristic Palazzo Italia building was fully equipped with an integrated GEWISS system. The technical element of the system features CVX cabinets, a Domo Center, junction boxes and modular devices. The white GEO and LUX plates serve as the surface-mounted controls, and the lighting system, too, bears the GEWISS brand, with modern Smart [4] and Street [O3] floodlights, featuring led technology for superb light quality and low operating costs.

Santa Giulia Square Lighting

Santa Giulia Square

The square, in the Milanese district of Santa Giulia, was built in front of Building 3 of the famous Sky Italia television network, to improve the pedestrian connections between the nearby station of Rogoredo and the surrounding promenade. At around 9,000 square metres, a large part of which is green, the public space has been paved in white granite stone, with the laying of a variety of plants, flower beds and shrubs, as well as benches, recharging points for electric cars and cycle racks. The square and the pedestrian paths are entirely illuminated using Urban [O3] street lighting. GEWISS’ light fittings provide excellent visibility, energy savings and minimal impact on the environment. The elegant and refined geometries of the Urban [O3] family fit perfectly into the architectural context of the square, enhancing the urban landscape, even during the day.

In this elegant palazzo building, GEWISS has created an electrical system that includes a number of modern distribution boards from the CVX series. The simple, clean design of these devices is perfectly suited to the architecture of the facility.

Sir John Deane’s College Lighting

Sir John Deane’s College

Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College needed to improve existing lighting levels throughout the campus, in particular in car parks, bus stops, and public walkways. The lighting was outdated and giving off poor light levels, and this project provided the opportunity to switch from SON lamps to more energy efficient LED lighting.
