GEWISS is the new Title Sponsor of Michela Moioli, snowboard gold medalist who will also represent Italy at the next Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Starting from the season that is about to begin and over the next two years Michela Moioli, snowboarder from Bergamo and reigning Olympic champion, will be joined in her competitions by GEWISS, her new official Title Sponsor.

"Our partnership with Michela Moioli confirms GEWISS desire to contribute to the renewal of all sports, offering our know-how and our support to athletes and federations, both amateur and professional", comments Paolo Cervini, CEO of GEWISS. He continues: "Michela Moioli and GEWISS share the desire to bring Italian excellence all around the world, to reach even the most ambitious goals, in sport and industry. In fact, the Digital Sport Innovation project was born with the intention of becoming an important resource for all sports, starting with the renewal of the structures dedicated to them, such as ski resorts. An initiative as ambitious as necessary, which was created to ensure comfort and safety for athletes of all disciplines and of all ages, thanks to efficient systems and sustainable lighting".

The agreement with the Olympic champion provides for the presence of the GEWISS logo on the top of the competition board and on the front side panels of the official athlete caravan.

Michela Moioli comments on the collaboration with GEWISS in this way: "I am particularly proud and happy that such an important company has decided to support me until the next Beijing 2022 Olympics. We are all living a very unusual period of our life, this agreement spurs and gives me extra motivation. The values to which GEWISS is inspired are the same that belong to me, I hope that our collaboration will give us the greatest satisfaction in the near future".

Michela was born in Alzano Lombardo, near Bergamo, 25 years ago. In 2012, at the age of 17, she took part in her first World Cup. Twice bronze medal at the Junior World Championships, she reached the final at the Sochi 2014 Olympics. The following year she won a bronze medal in snowboard cross at the Kreischberg 2015 World Championships, becoming the first Italian to win a medal in this discipline. In 2016 she won the Specialty World Cup and at the Sierra Nevada 2017 World Championships she obtained her second bronze medal. The greatest satisfaction, however, comes at the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics, when Michela is crowned Olympic champion. The following year she won the third bronze medal at the Park City 2019 World Championships, where she also obtained the second place in the team snowboard cross together with Omar Visintin.

The sporting events program that will see Michela Moioli supported by GEWISS will start on January 14th with the first round of the World Cup (which will stop, thanks also to the strong will of Michela, in Bergamo, on the next January 23rd and 24th), it will then continue with the 2021 World Championships and will reach the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
